Chasing BYD ANCAP scores? Short answer: the BYD Atto 3, Dolphin and Seal all carry a 5‑star ANCAP safety rating from recent test programs in Australia, which is exactly the sort of five you actually want.
As ever, check the build date and variant, because ratings can hinge on specific equipment and production updates.
ANCAP assesses adult and child occupant protection, vulnerable road user safety and active safety tech, and BYD’s latest crop stacks up strongly across the lot.
If you’re shopping, confirm the exact rating for your VIN on the ANCAP database and make sure the driver‑assist kit you want is actually fitted.
