byd atto 3 long term review Page 3

Ah, the BYD Atto 3—China's electric envoy trying to charm Aussie roads. Over the long haul, owners report a generally solid battery endurance with a capacity of around 49.92 kWh delivering a respectable range of roughly 320 km. Charging speeds are decent, but don’t expect Tesla-esque lightning bolts; a full charge on a 7kW home charger takes about 7 hours. Inside, the cabin stays fresh and tech-savvy, though some materials feel budget-conscious—a trade-off for the affordable price tag hovering around $45,000 AUD new. Common grumbles include software glitches and occasional infotainment lag, but nothing that ruins the drive.

• Battery degradation minimal but monitor it over years
• Infotainment system can be slow or buggy
• Build quality good but not luxury-level

Used prices dip into the mid-$30,000s, making it a tempting electric hatchback for the budget-conscious. For the nitty-gritty, check out CarShowroom and ServiceCentral reviews, and always cross-reference official BYD specs.
