The Volvo C40 is the XC40 that went to a fashion show and decided rooflines are optional, trading rear headroom for swagger.
In single-motor guise it’s relaxed and efficient; the dual-motor version hits warp-ish speeds with serene confidence, like a Scandi lounge on fast-forward.
Ride quality is composed but can turn firm on big wheels, and rear visibility is more letterbox than picture window.
Cabin quality is top-notch, and the Google-powered infotainment is slick once you’ve signed your soul—sorry, account—in.
Range is solid for weekly commutes and weekenders, but long hauls need some charging chess; thankfully, DC fast charging is competitive for the class.
If you want a stylish, safe EV that feels premium without shouting, the C40 nails it—just pack shorter friends in the back.
