If you’re camping near Springbrook National Park, the headline act is The Settlement campground on the plateau—bookings are essential via Queensland Parks.

Other sections like Natural Bridge are day‑use only, so don’t plan on rolling out a swag there unless you fancy a chat with a ranger.

Private campgrounds in the nearby Gold Coast hinterland fill quickly on weekends, so book ahead and bring wet‑weather gear—the area is gloriously damp.

Roads are sealed but steep and winding; keep an eye on closures after heavy rain, and pack for cool nights even in summer.

Fires are only allowed in designated facilities when conditions permit, and you’ll want to store food properly—local wildlife runs a tight night shift.
