can green p platers tow a trailer vic Page 6

Ah, the eternal question of whether green P platers in Victoria can hitch up a trailer without facing the wrath of the law—spoiler alert: yes, but with conditions. Green P platers, those fresh-faced drivers still finding their way, are allowed to tow a trailer as long as the combined vehicle and trailer weight doesn't exceed the limits set by VicRoads.

Specifically, you must ensure the trailer is not too heavy, and that you adhere to any restrictions on speed and vehicle type. Overstepping these bounds can lead to fines or worse, so it's wise to check the official VicRoads towing guidelines for precise weight limits and rules.

In short: yes, but tread carefully and don't get cocky.
