They’re issued only by NSW Authorised Inspection Stations, located in NSW and linked electronically to Transport for NSW.
If your NSW-registered car is in QLD and needs one, you’ll have to take it into NSW for inspection or switch over to QLD rego instead.
Registering in Queensland? You’ll need a QLD safety certificate (RWC) from an approved inspector—different state, different paperwork.
