can p platers use gps device vic Page 3

In Victoria, the use of GPS devices by P platers isn't outright banned, but there are some caveats. P platers must comply with all Victorian road rules, which primarily focus on distractions. A GPS device fixed securely in the vehicle is generally acceptable, provided it doesn't distract the driver or require manual input while driving. However, fiddling with the GPS or holding it could result in a fine or demerit points.

To be safe, ensure your GPS is set up before you start driving and mounted in a way that doesn't obstruct your view. For the nitty-gritty details, check the official VicRoads website or ServiceCentral for the latest rules.
