can you drive a v8 on your ps vic Page 4

Ah, the age-old question of unleashing a V8 beast on the Victorian Ps. The short answer: yes, but with caveats. In Victoria, Learner (L) and Provisional (P) drivers face engine capacity and power restrictions to keep you—and everyone else—safe.

For Ps, there isn’t a strict outright ban on V8s, but the vehicle must comply with specific power-to-weight ratios and other regulations. So, a tame V8 might sneak through, but the roaring muscle cars often don’t qualify.

Check the current VicRoads guidelines and your specific licence conditions before revving up. And if you’re browsing, sites like Tradingpost can help spot compliant rides.
