So, you want to cancel your Victorian vehicle registration—bold move! In Victoria, you can cancel your registration online through VicRoads or in person. Just have your registration certificate handy, and be ready to surrender your number plates. Remember, once cancelled, you won't be legally allowed to drive the vehicle until it's re-registered.

Refunds for the unused portion of your registration can be claimed, but expect some administrative fees to nibble away your payout. Also, if your vehicle's being scrapped or sold interstate, cancellation is a must.

For the nitty-gritty and to start the process, VicRoads' official site is your best mate. And if you’re hunting for new or used vehicles post-cancellation, check out CarShowroom or Tradingpost.
