capped service meaning Page 42

Ah, the elusive "capped service"—a term that sounds like it involves limits but actually means you pay a fixed price for your car's scheduled maintenance. Essentially, it's a maintenance plan where the dealer or manufacturer promises to cover all routine service costs for a set number of visits or years, no surprises, no hidden fees. This is a godsend if you hate the unpredictability of workshop bills but beware: it usually only covers standard wear-and-tear stuff, not the aftermath of your questionable driving choices.

In Australia, these plans often come bundled with new cars or can be purchased separately, and prices vary depending on vehicle make and model. For the nitty-gritty, check out ServiceCentral or CarShowroom for specific plans and prices.
