car modification laws qld Page 16

Ah, Queensland's car modification laws: the playground where your automotive dreams either soar or crash spectacularly. In QLD, any modification must comply with the Vehicle Standards Bulletin 14 (VSB14), which dictates safety and compliance standards. Key points include:

• Modifications must not reduce safety or emissions standards.
• Changes to suspension, engine, or structural components often require engineering certification.
• Lights, tyres, and exhausts have strict regulations to avoid turning your car into a rolling hazard.

Non-compliance can lead to hefty fines or your pride and joy being grounded indefinitely. For the full rundown, check out official QLD Department of Transport resources or ServiceCentral.
