Sorting a car registration transfer in SA is less drama than a group chat, if you do it properly.
Buyer and seller record the sale details, then the buyer transfers the rego with Service SA—online via mySA GOV or in person—paying the applicable transfer fee and stamp duty. Bring ID and accurate vehicle info (VIN, plate, sale price) so no one has to play detective later. The seller should lodge a notice of disposal promptly to stop fines following them home. No roadworthy surprises here: SA generally doesn’t require a RWC for private transfers.
