car sales usa 2023 Page 5

Ah, the ever-thrilling saga of car sales in the USA for 2023. Despite supply chain hiccups and the relentless march of electric vehicles, the market held its ground. New car sales hovered around 13-14 million units, a modest bounce from the pandemic slump but still shy of pre-2020 highs.

Electric vehicles gained a solid foothold, accounting for roughly 7-8% of total sales—a number likely to make petrolheads clutch their steering wheels tighter. On the used car front, prices remained stubbornly high due to tight inventory, with prices often rivaling or exceeding new cars in some segments.
