car seat for 2 year old australia Page 2

Looking for a car seat for a 2-year-old in Australia? Safety standards here are as strict as a customs officer with a hangover, so make sure it meets the Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 1754. At this age, a forward-facing seat with a 5-point harness is typical. Prices vary wildly: new seats can set you back anywhere from $150 to $600 AUD, depending on brand and features, while used ones on Tradingpost or CarShowroom might be found for a fraction of that, but buyer beware—second-hand safety equipment is a gamble even a poker shark might avoid.

Always ensure the seat has proper installation instructions and fits your vehicle. Consulting the latest government guidelines and product manuals is a must before making a call.
