car windows fogging up inside when parked Page 80

Condensation inside the glass is your car politely announcing there’s moisture trapped in the cabin. Evict it by removing wet mats/gear, then run the A/C on fresh air (not recirc) with the demister for the last few minutes before parking. Swap a clogged cabin filter, and check for leaks—door seals, a blocked A/C drain, or the heater core (sweet coolant smell) are usual suspects. Park under cover and, if safe, crack a window a whisker or toss in a moisture absorber like silica packs. If it’s still fogging up like a sauna on leg day, have a technician inspect for leaks and a plugged evaporator drain; both are quick wins. Bonus: keep the windows clean inside—less film means fewer foggy mornings.
