Ah, the humble caravan: a wheeled palace for those who prefer sleeping on the road to a hotel bed or a patch of dirt. Typically, caravans in Australia range from compact models weighing around 1,000 kg to luxury beasts tipping the scales at over 3,000 kg. New models can set you back anywhere between $30,000 and $150,000 AUD, while used ones offer a more wallet-friendly option, often found for $10,000 to $70,000 AUD on sites like Tradingpost. Key specs to consider include towing weight, length, water capacity, and whether it has a queen bed or bunk beds. If you want to avoid turning your holiday into a mechanical nightmare, always check the manufacturer’s specs and user reviews. For a selection and more details, CarShowroom and Tradingpost are decent places to start your caravan quest.
