carmount phone holder reviews Page 5

Shopping for a car mount phone holder? Vent clips are tidy and close to your fingertips, but flimsy vents and Aussie summer heat can make them sag like a sun-baked lamington. Dash or windscreen suction mounts give the best stability, yet they can hog your sightline—keep it low and legal, because the boys and girls in blue aren’t fans of dashboard sculpture. CD-slot and cup-holder mounts are clever in older cars, though they can block controls. Magnetic (MagSafe-friendly) mounts are brilliantly quick; just ensure a strong magnet and proper plate/case, and note some won’t play nice with wireless charging. For durability, look for solid hinges, one-hand clamps, and reputable brands; cheap suction cups fail right when the map says “turn now.”
