change number plates vic Page 8

Changing number plates in Victoria involves a few bureaucratic hurdles that would try the patience of a saint. First, you need to surrender your current plates at a VicRoads Customer Service Centre. Then, you can apply for personalised or replacement plates, depending on your needs. The cost varies, with standard replacement plates starting around $22 and personalised plates costing significantly more, often upwards of $150 plus annual fees.

Don’t forget that you’ll need to provide proof of identity, vehicle registration details, and possibly pay an application fee. For the full lowdown and the latest fees, consult VicRoads directly or check out ServiceCentral for assistance.
