cheapest car on fuel

Chasing the cheapest car on fuel? If you mean petrol use, hybrids like the Toyota Yaris Hybrid (~3.3–3.8 L/100km) and Corolla Hybrid (~4.0–4.2 L/100km) sip like a budgie, while the Kia Niro Hybrid hovers around ~4.0 L/100km. EVs drink zero petrol and, at typical Aussie power rates, often beat even hybrids on per‑km costs—just mind your charging setup and daily range. Pure petrol tiddlers exist, but most sit around 5–6 L/100km and swap thirst for… modest enthusiasm. City driving flatters hybrids; long highway slogs narrow the gap. Shortlist a hybrid if you hate bowsers, or an EV if your commute is predictable—then trawl Tradingpost for something your wallet and ego can both survive.
