If you just want the cheapest large SUV new in Australia for 2023, the LDV D90 usually undercuts the pack, often advertised drive-away in the high‑AUD $30Ks to low‑AUD $40Ks depending on deals. Next rung up, budget-friendly options like the SsangYong Rexton and some entry-grade Isuzu MU-X or Kia Sorento trims start higher but bring stronger badges and towing cred. Shopping used? Three‑to‑five‑year‑old mainstream large SUVs can be found from roughly AUD $25k–$35k, with higher kilometres and thirstier engines dragging the price lower. Just remember: seven seats sound glamorous until school holiday road trips—check servicing costs, warranty cover, and fuel use before you pounce.
