cheapest ute australia 2023 Page 6

Hunting the cheapest ute in Australia in 2023? The bargains were usually budget 4x2 cab‑chassis and value brands like Mahindra Pik‑Up, GWM Cannon and LDV T60, with drive‑away deals roughly in the low‑$30k to mid‑$40k bracket depending on spec and ABN promos. Entry‑level single‑cab 4x2 from mainstream badges (HiLux, D‑Max, Ranger, BT‑50) tended to land around the mid‑$30k to low‑$40k before on‑roads. Used? Rough, high‑km workhorses can dip to $5k–$15k, tidy decade‑old diesels sit about $15k–$25k, and near‑new dual‑cabs hover between $30k–$50k+ depending on badge and kilometres. As ever, cheap today can be expensive tomorrow—budget for a pre‑purchase inspection and fresh tyres before carting half of Bunnings home.
