To check ACT number plate availability, use Access Canberra’s online plate ordering tool and pop your preferred combo into the checker.

Pick a plate style first, then test your letters/numbers—offensive or confusing combos won’t fly, and some formats only allow certain lengths.

If it’s available, you can reserve or order it by paying the applicable fee; if not, the checker will suggest alternatives before you throw the keyboard.
