check odometer reading Page 189

Ah, the odometer reading—your car’s way of boasting about its life story, or hiding skeletons in its mileage closet. To check it, simply glance at the dashboard where the odometer sits, usually displaying the total kilometres the vehicle has traveled. Digital or analogue, it tells you how much love (and wear) the car has endured. Beware of tampering: some dodgy sellers might roll back the numbers to make it seem less loved. For thorough checks, cross-reference service records or use platforms like ServiceCentral to verify the odometer history. Remember, a low number might mean less wear, but it could also be a red flag if the car’s condition doesn’t match the reading.
