Ah, Chery in Australia—like a charming underdog trying to make a splash in a pool full of seasoned swimmers. Chery is a Chinese automaker known for budget-friendly SUVs and hatchbacks, aiming at the value-conscious Aussie market. Expect models with 1.5 to 2.0-litre petrol engines, typically front-wheel drive, and a spec sheet that leans more towards practicality than pizzazz. New prices hover around the $20,000 to $30,000 AUD mark, making them attractive if your wallet is whispering “stay frugal.” Used Chery cars can be found cheaper on sites like Tradingpost and CarShowroom, though beware the limited dealer network and potential parts availability quirks.

For specs and servicing, consult official Chery Australia resources or ServiceCentral to avoid surprises.
