chery car wiki

Chery is a Chinese carmaker founded in 1997 that’s gone from basic runabouts to feature-stuffed SUVs faster than you can say “value for money.”

In Australia it’s back with models like the Omoda 5 and Tiggo SUVs, chasing buyers who want lots of kit, sharp pricing, and a confidence-boosting warranty.

Expect small turbo engines, big screens, and safety tech that used to be luxury-only—plus build quality that’s improved markedly over the years.

Browsing Tradingpost, you’ll spot plenty of near-new examples that undercut the usual suspects while still feeling modern and well-equipped.
