chery motors review Page 8

Chery Motors has crashed back into Australia waving lots of features for not much coin, and it shows in the Omoda 5, Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro.

Interiors are modern and tech-heavy for the price, with big screens and driver aids that were luxury-car territory five minutes ago.

Ride and handling are competent rather than inspiring, and the 1.5‑litre turbo/CVT combos favour efficiency over fireworks.

Safety is competitive for the class (some models carry a 5‑star ANCAP), and the warranty and servicing packages are generous for peace of mind.

The dealer network is growing but still smaller than the usual suspects, and long‑term resale is a polite shrug for now.

If you want maximum spec-per-dollar and can forgive a bit of dynamic blandness, Chery’s new crop is a genuinely tempting proposition.
