Chery Motors, a Chinese automaker established in 1997, is known for punching above its weight in the global small car segment. They specialise in affordable, compact vehicles and have expanded aggressively, including some presence in Australia. Their lineup typically features petrol engines, with a dabble in hybrids and electric vehicles. Chery is often seen as the budget option, offering decent tech and specs for a fraction of the price of more established brands, but quality and reliability can be a mixed bag.

Prices for new models generally hover around AUD 15,000 to 25,000, with used examples available for less on sites like Tradingpost and CarShowroom. For the nitty-gritty specs and up-to-date details, consulting official Chery documentation or reliable automotive resources is your best bet.
