child restraint laws victoria Page 15

In Victoria, child restraint laws are as strict as a headmaster with a ruler. Children under the age of 7 must use an approved child restraint or booster seat suitable for their size and weight. Specifically, children under 6 months must be in a rear-facing restraint, 6 months to under 4 years in a forward-facing restraint, and 4 to under 7 years in a booster seat or child restraint. These laws are enforced rigorously, so don’t risk a fine or more importantly, your child's safety.

Failure to comply can result in fines and demerit points. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, always check the official VicRoads documentation.
