Ah, the elusive "children car"—assuming you mean vehicles suitable for ferrying your tiny terrors about town safely and in style. When looking for a car for children, safety is paramount, followed by space for car seats and easy access. Popular choices in Australia include SUVs and wagons with 5-star ANCAP safety ratings and ample ISO-FIX anchor points. Expect to shell out anywhere from $20,000 for a modest new small SUV to upwards of $50,000 for a family-friendly mid-size SUV. Used options can be found on Tradingpost or CarShowroom for less if you're feeling thrifty. Always check for rear door child locks and enough boot space for strollers and shopping bags. Remember, a car is just a vessel; your kids will be the real handful.
