Citroën is the wonderfully odd French carmaker founded in 1919 by André Citroën, famous for doing things the clever way, not the normal way.

It gave us the Traction Avant (mass-produced FWD and monocoque), the space-age DS with hydropneumatic suspension, and the charmingly indestructible 2CV.

These days it lives under the Stellantis umbrella, still prioritising comfort, quirk and cleverness over chest-beating lap times.

If you like cars that feel designed by engineers who also sketch modernist furniture, voilà—your tribe awaits.
