common problems with hyundai venue Page 2

The Hyundai Venue is a cheery little runabout, but even perky pint-sized SUVs have their foibles.

• Infotainment gremlins: occasional Bluetooth/CarPlay dropouts or a head unit that decides to nap mid-chorus.
• Road noise: tyre roar and wind hiss at highway speeds, with the odd suspension clunk over potholes.
• Air-con that’s merely “fine” at idle on scorching days, and a cabin that heats up quickly when parked in the sun.
• Early 12V battery fatigue and the odd rough cold start, usually cured by fresh plugs or a software update.
• Brake squeal or light rear-drum chatter at low speeds that’s more annoying than alarming.

Check service history, get a pre-purchase inspection, and run the VIN for any outstanding recalls via Hyundai Australia; small fixes keep these chipper and cheap to run.
