convert international license to vic Page 9

Trying to swap your international driver’s license for a Victorian one? Well, here’s the lowdown: if you’re a visitor or new resident, you can drive in Victoria on your valid overseas license for up to six months. After that, you need to apply for a Victorian licence through VicRoads, which involves passing the knowledge test and practical driving test, depending on your country of origin. Some countries have reciprocal agreements that waive these tests, so you might get off lightly.

Prepare to prove your identity, residency, and provide your international license. Fees vary, but expect around $70-$100 AUD for the licence. For official and up-to-date details, check VicRoads or ServiceCentral.
