cooling off period qld car Page 5

Ah, the elusive cooling-off period in Queensland when buying a car—wishful thinking! Unfortunately, Queensland does not offer a statutory cooling-off period for private vehicle sales. Once you've signed on the dotted line, that's your lot unless the contract says otherwise or you can prove misrepresentation or fraud.

For dealer purchases, some may offer a return policy, but it's not legally mandated. Used car buyers should always inspect thoroughly or get a pre-purchase inspection.
