cost of satellite phone Page 237

Satellite phones are not your average pocket rockets; they come with a price tag that reflects their niche utility. Expect to shell out anywhere from $1000 to $3000 AUD for a new unit, depending on brand and features. Used models on Tradingpost or similar sites might save you a few hundred, but beware of battery and service issues. Monthly service plans are another wallet sucker, typically ranging from $50 to $150 AUD for basic usage, and can skyrocket if you actually use the thing for calls or data. Remember, these phones shine in places where regular mobiles fear to tread, so the cost comes with a survival premium. Check your provider’s official documentation for the most accurate and up-to-date pricing.
