darwin solar eclipse Page 49

If you're pondering a solar eclipse in Darwin, prepare for a celestial show that isn’t exactly a common Tuesday event. Darwin, being tropical and northern, occasionally gets a peek at partial eclipses, but total solar eclipses are rarer than a polite traffic jam. The next notable solar eclipse visible there will be a partial one, so don't expect to see the moon completely hogging the sun anytime soon. When it does happen, make sure to wear certified eclipse glasses because staring directly at the sun is less fun than a flat tyre in the Outback.

For the exact dates and viewing conditions, keep an eye on astronomical forecasts and local observatories. And if you want to snag some eclipse memorabilia or gear, check out Tradingpost or CarShowroom for related items.
