In Queensland there isn’t a special “business rego”—it’s the same registration system whether the operator is a person or a company. The differences are mostly paperwork: the registered operator name (individual vs ABN/company), proof of identity/authority, and where the vehicle’s garaged. Fees are made up of a registration fee, a traffic improvement fee and CTP insurance; for the same vehicle type, those don’t change just because it’s for business. They do change if the vehicle’s use puts it in a different CTP class—think booked-hire/taxi, rideshare, or a goods-carrying vehicle—because those attract different premiums. Plates aren’t special either, unless you’re in a concession category (like a primary producer) or a commercial vehicle class defined by body/use rather than who owns it. Tax perks (GST, depreciation, FBT considerations) sit outside rego—check the specifics with TMR and your accountant before you start sticking logos on the doors.
