Short answer: no—EV plugs are about as uniform as Aussie coffee orders. In Australia, most new cars charge on Type 2 for AC and CCS2 for DC fast charging. Some older models (hello, early Nissan Leaf) use CHAdeMO, and older Teslas may need an adapter, though newer Teslas use CCS2 like everyone else at the fast-charger party.
Adapters exist, but not all work for DC, and they won’t make your car charge faster than it’s built to. Always check your car’s plug type and the charger’s socket before you set off, unless you enjoy range anxiety as a hobby.
