Nope—you don’t need an email to use PayID in Australia.
You can register a PayID with your bank using a mobile number, email address, ABN or Organisation ID; pick one and you’re off.
Set it up in your banking app, and when someone pays your PayID they’ll see your name before sending (a handy scam filter, plus near‑instant Osko transfers).
Use a mobile number if you’d rather not share an email, and remember you can usually move or delete your PayID later.
As ever, if something smells fishy, confirm the name that pops up and never share verification codes—no bargain is worth a bruised bank balance.
