does ctp cover property damage Page 3

CTP, or Compulsory Third Party insurance, is Australia's legal requirement for vehicle owners, but don’t expect it to fix your fence or your neighbour’s prized rose bushes. It only covers personal injury to people in an accident you cause, not any property damage. For dents, scratches, or a total write-off to your car or other property, you'll need comprehensive or third party property damage insurance. So, if you're hoping CTP will pay for your neighbour's smashed mailbox, think again—your wallet's on the hook unless you’ve got the right cover.
