egg car Page 2

Ah, the "egg car"—a term that might conjure images of a futuristic, egg-shaped pod zipping around your local streets. If you're referring to the iconic Citroën 2CV, lovingly nicknamed the "egg" for its rounded silhouette, you're in for a quirky motoring tale. These cars are famed for their simple 2-cylinder engines, around 375cc to 602cc, and a top speed hovering near 70 km/h. New? Forget it; these classics live in the used market, often priced anywhere from $5,000 to $15,000 AUD depending on condition. Common issues include

• rust-prone body panels
• fragile suspension components
• electrical gremlins galore

For a slice of vintage charm, keep an eye on CarShowroom or Tradingpost for listings. If this doesn’t match your “egg car,” do clarify, but until then, enjoy picturing your breakfast on wheels.
