electric combi Page 35

Ah, the elusive electric combi—if only it were a thing, we'd be zipping around in silent, zero-emission vintage vans by now. Unfortunately, the term "electric combi" is more of a hopeful fantasy; traditional Kombis are classic petrol or diesel beasts. However, there are conversion kits and specialist outfits in Australia turning classic Kombis into electric rides, blending nostalgia with modern eco-consciousness.

Specs for these conversions vary wildly depending on the battery and motor installed, but expect around 100-200 km range on a single charge and modest power outputs compared to modern EVs. Prices are equally all over the shop, from DIY projects costing a few thousand AUD to professional conversions running well into the tens of thousands.

Check out forums, Tradingpost, or CarShowroom for listings and conversions. Official specs? Ha! Consult the conversion company, not the Kombi manual.
