Chasing the “electric highway” in WA? You’re really asking about the state’s expanding WA EV Network (plus the older RAC Electric Highway down south), which strings fast chargers along the big runs from the South West to the far reaches of the outback. Expect DC fast chargers typically up to around 150 kW, spaced roughly 100–200 km apart, with CCS2 (and often CHAdeMO on legacy sites). You’ll generally pay and activate via the Chargefox app, then watch electrons sprint in while you grab a pie that’s hotter than a Pilbara summer. Bring a Type 2 cable for AC top-ups, and plan ahead—distances are vast and roadhouse custard tarts wait for no one. In short: it’s absolutely doable now, just treat range like water in the desert—precious, and best managed calmly.
