electric vehicle grant Page 7

Hunting an electric vehicle grant in Australia? Sensible move—free money makes kilowatts feel even zippier.

Incentives vary by state and change often, but typically include rebates, stamp duty or rego concessions, and the odd low‑interest loan or charger subsidy. Eligibility usually depends on price caps, new-versus-used status, and where you live. Check your state or territory government’s transport/energy site and the latest announcements before you buy, then keep invoices and your VIN handy for claims. Some dealers can apply rebates at purchase; otherwise you claim after delivery. Programs come and go quickly, so move early and read the fine print twice.
