ev rebate vic Page 73

Short version: Victoria doesn’t have an active EV purchase rebate anymore.

The state’s $3,000 Zero Emissions Vehicle subsidy wrapped up in mid‑2023, so no fresh handouts at the counter today.

On the plus side, that controversial per‑km road‑user charge was torpedoed by the High Court in 2023, so you’re not being dinged under that scheme either.

You may still score federal perks—most notably the FBT exemption on eligible EVs via novated leasing—though thresholds and fine print apply.

Net result: shop smart on price, factor charging, and verify anything that sounds too generous.

For the latest, consult Victorian Government and ATO guidance before you sign on the dotted line.
