ev tax refund Page 8

Looking for an EV tax refund in Australia? Brace yourself, because unlike some other countries, our government’s incentives are a bit of a mixed bag. Various states offer rebates or stamp duty exemptions, but there’s no universal federal tax refund for electric vehicles. For instance, Victoria and New South Wales have some rebates up to a few thousand AUD, which can sweeten the deal slightly.

Used EVs typically don’t get any incentives, so keep that in mind when scouring Tradingpost or CarShowroom. Always check the latest from your state government’s website because these schemes change faster than a kangaroo’s hop. And remember, your wallet’s best friend might just be a good old-fashioned spreadsheet.
