The 2023 Ford Everest finally feels like the Ranger’s university‑educated sibling—still rugged, now suspiciously polished. The optional 3.0‑litre V6 turbo‑diesel punches out about 184 kW/600 Nm through a 10‑speed auto, while the 2.0‑litre bi‑turbo quietly gets on with family life. It tows up to 3,500 kg, rides more calmly than the old one, and the SYNC 4A cabin tech makes it feel premium without the luxury‑brand ego. Third row space is fine for kids and short adult trips, and the boot’s actually usable with seats up or down. Real‑world economy lives roughly in the high‑8s to low‑10s L/100 km depending on engine and load. If you want a seven‑seat 4WD that can tour, tow and not bore, this one’s smug for good reason.
