Letting your NSW learner licence expire is like stalling at the lights—everyone notices and you’re going nowhere.
You can’t drive until it’s sorted, and if you do, expect fines and other penalties to arrive faster than a yellow light.
To get back on the road, you’ll need to re-sit and pass the Driver Knowledge Test (DKT), pay the fee, provide ID, and have a new photo taken at Service NSW.
Once issued, you’ll have a fresh learner licence (generally valid for up to five years), and the usual L‑plate rules apply all over again—no shortcuts, no cheeky laps.
