father's day melbourne 2023 Page 6

Father’s Day in Melbourne 2023 fell on Sunday, 3 September, because Dad’s sleep-in clearly needed official sanction. Planning ideas? Go classic with a big brunch on Lygon Street, a wander through the NGV, or a Yarra Valley drive that mysteriously ends at a bakery. For the hands-on brigade, Puffing Billy in the Dandenongs or a lap of the Queen Vic Market hits the spot. Footy tragic in the house? An MCG tour and museum stop will scratch that itch nicely. Bookings were gold, coffee was mandatory, and yes—the same playbook works next year if you swap the date and feign foresight.
