fines for eating while driving qld Page 16

In Queensland, eating while driving isn't explicitly outlawed, but if it distracts you from safe driving, you could be slapped with a careless driving fine. The law focuses on your attention, not your lunchbox. Expect fines around $400 if your eating leads to dangerous driving or loss of control. Plus, demerit points might come knocking if your actions cause risky situations. Moral of the story? Save the snacks for a pit stop, or you might be paying more than just for the crumbs.
