ford everest 2023 problems Page 2

The 2023 Ford Everest is a big, capable unit, but it’s not entirely bulletproof. Here are the issues Aussie owners most commonly report—and the usual fixes.

• SYNC 4A infotainment niggles: occasional freezes, Bluetooth/CarPlay dropouts, or camera lag; over-the-air or dealer software updates typically sort it.
• 10-speed auto calibration quirks: mild shift flare or gear hunting at suburban speeds; a dealer reflash/TSB update usually smooths things out.
• DPF behaviour on short trips: frequent regens, hot smells, and fans running after shutdown; regular longer drives help the system complete cycles.
• Wind noise or minor water ingress from door seals/roof rails (sometimes after accessories); alignment checks and fresh seals fix it.
• Suspension squeaks/tailgate rattles on corrugations; bush lubrication or striker/stop adjustments are common cures.

Most examples are trouble-free, and these gremlins are usually handled under warranty—log issues early, keep software current, and check your VIN for any recalls.
